In this lecture we discussed about our visit to the Dr. Bhau Daji Lad Museum. We spoke about the various aspects that we observed there –

- Lifestyle
- Economy
- Occupation
- Transport
- Architcture
- Culture
- Town planning
- Military
We then discussed each of them in detail.
Next ma’am gave us an assignment- we had to pick any 1 city other than our hometown and make a list on the personal aspects, the cliches and the unique aspects of that place. I chose Delhi since it is my favourite city after Mumbai.
DELHI
- Personal aspects – Sarojini Nagar, Family, Chaats
- Cliche aspects – Connaught place, India Gate, Monuments
- Unique aspects – People, Food, Houses
We then wrote a few words on the city we chose.
Delhi – this word puts a smile on my face immediately and the happiness is justified with the delicious food, the weddings enriched with culture, the lively festivals, the parties and the warm, loving people. Yes, it has it’s flaws of women safety and pollution but that’s just how most indian cities are. I visit delhi atleast twice every year – once in winter obviously. Winters in Delhi has to be my favorite because of the cute outfits everyone is wearing and how people celebrate Christmas and New Year’s with a blast! Mumbai really can’t catch up with delhi on that.
