Have you every stopped to wonder – ‘What does time mean for you?’
As an individual for me, time is money ; it is the most precious element on earth.

We then moved on to discuss the Cultural Semiotics to understand time in depth. These are the various things which indicate a change on time and time can be recognised by just seeing the process- without looking at the clock eg – the Roosters crow in the mornings because their internal clock tells them to, this indirectly tell us the time without using a clock to indicate the time.
Next we studied what a mandala is,it is the geometry and philosophy of time. It is a composition of various geometric forms to show systems. It is made up of 5 elements-

The origin of every design, forms, shapes and beings is the Dot. The dot or bindu is an un-manifested idea or truth or opportunity. The existence of a being, the reality, an opportunity, the unpredictability or uncertainty, all relate to the Dot.

The upward pointing triangle, as shown above, is to 3 tenses– past, present, and the future. It is also a symbol of Fire and a symbol for a Male. It represents positive energy.

The downward pointing triangle, as shown above, represents negative energy and is a symbol for a Female.
When we combine the two, we get creation- the star.

We ended this lecture by watching a short film on the change of time and how it never stops.
Conclusion : Time is a concept that is extremely subjective. It leads to creation and evolution, and is a key for the changes happening around us – day and night, seasons, growth as individuals, changes in the calender, etc.
