Our homework was to read 5 chapters from Invisible cities. The chapters alotted to me were – Euphemia, Olivia, Baucis, Zora and Andria.
We started to discuss the cities one by one – highlighting the unique features of each city.
I spoke about Andria – the spiritual city.
- Andria’s layout was set according to the universe/galaxy.
- Any change in this city affected the sky’s pattern.
- People of this city believed that any change in the city would disturb the sky which in turn would affect the entire world. Hence they would stick to their normal routine and diverting from it was highly frowned upon.
- The 2 character traits of the residents of this city were that they had a high level of self-confidence and prudence.
